Trends seem to come in pairs of opposites lately. While bright colors are in for spring, on the other end of the color spectrum, toned-down nude shades are a big trend as well. Shades of beige paired with white, other nudes, or even black has taken over the market. It’s a look that’s very natural, sexy and easy to pull off and although the color has always been a favorite of fashionistas around the globe, the invasion of the nude began when Kate Middleton dazzled in a skin colored dress at her engagement.

Nude, as a color has been most often described as the color of champagne in a clear glass. However it is a very subjective matter. There are two shades of nude colors.
Warm Shades
These shades have an undertone of yellow or tan, even brown to a certain degree.
Cool Shades
These shades will go with bluish or greenish undertones. It also have peach or rosy overtones to compliment extremely fair skin.

- Cool shades look stunning in soft silk and if you can make it work, you will look your best ever in it.
- If you are anxious to hide bulges, go for crochet patterns in skin colored dresses. It will make you look funky and chic in right proportions.
- If you feel you are too skinny to carry off such a sexy color, go with lace as a material for your dress.
- The hottest way to wear nude this season is paired with a neutral like black or white. It keeps the look chic and modern and lets the nude hue really stand out. Try black skinny jeans, a nude tank, and a black or white blazer for a look that’s straight off the runways.
