Vayodha Hospital inaugurated

Senior social activist Anuradha Koirala and senior doctors inaugurated Vayodha Hospital, amidst a special ceremony on 27 July 2012. According to the press release, the hospital’s name ‘Vayodha’ comes from Sanskrit, meaning good health, to represent the hospital’s main objective of providing reliable health services to Nepalese people. The hospital has total capacity of 50 beds comprising of special, VIP and ordinary beds. The emergency services, OPD and specialist service in the hospital commenced a day before the launch.

Vayodha has a two party contract with Fortis Escorts Heart Institute of New Delhi, providing specialist services for cardiac care 24 hours a day. According to the statement provided to the press, the hospital’s main functions will be aimed towards various heart issues.

Various services provided at the hospital include -Emergency Ward, Emergency Operation Theatre, OPD services, Non Invasive Cardiac Center, Physiotherapy, Department ICU, Endoscopy center CCU, Urology and Pathology Department.
