BB Airways, having recently received license for international operations, is starting direct flights to Japan from October 13. Promoted by Japanese NRN’s TBI Group, BB Airways has taken the step to accommodate the increased inflow of Japanese tourists to Nepal. According to press release, Bhawan Bhatta, chairman of BB Airways states that the airlines would operate two flights a week. The flight distance between the two nations has been reduced to seven hours and the return ticket would cost around NRS. 120,000.

BB Airways is preparing to operate 202-seated Boeing 757-200. The airline is also scheduled to start its operation between Kathmandu and Kuala Lumpur, Taiwan and Hong Kong from September. The airline has permission to operate to seven international destinations, including New Delhi, Singapore, Doha and Bangkok.
