Mega Bank's new deposit schemes

mega_bank.jpgMega Bank Nepal Ltd has launched two new saving accounts namely: Mega Karmachari Bachat Khata and Mega Youth – My Bank @ Campus Account. Mega Karmachari Bachat Khata is targeted towards benefiting the civil & private employees. The minimum balance requirement for the account is NRs.100. The interest rate for the account is 7% per annum and is payable quarterly. Additional benefits include a free of charge issuance of checkbook, free of charge online banking, free issuance of SCT debit card and free of charge on demand statement of account. There will also be a complimentary SMS banking facility and the issuance of bank balance certificate. Furthermore, there will be 50% discount on issuance of demand drafts along with free bill payment facility with the use of NTC, PSTN, ADSL and Post Paid mobile bills. Likewise, there is a free accidental death insurance that will cover up to NRs. 500,000. Preferable rates on FOREX transactions with special conditions are offered. The other newly introduced saving account by the bank called Mega Youth- My Bank@Campus Account is oriented towards facilitating the college students. Minimum requirement for the account is NRs. 200 with an interest rate of 7% per annum, which is payable quarterly. Additional services will include checkbook, issuance of SCT Debit Card with online banking and demand statement of account, which will all be given for free. There will also be a 50% discount on issuance of demand drafts/SWIFT transfers.
